Who we are

The British Continental Stats Hub (stats.thebritishcontinental.co.uk) is the statistics site of The British Continental, covering UK domestic road cycling. For anything relating to your data, contact us at privacy@thebritishcontinental.co.uk.

Information about riders and teams

This site publishes sporting information about competitors in UK domestic road racing: names, nationalities, ages/age categories, team affiliations and transfer history, race entries, results and ranking points, and — where available — photographs. We publish this on the basis of our legitimate interest in sports reporting and statistics, drawing on publicly available sources such as official startlists and results.

If you are a rider and believe information about you is inaccurate, or you wish to object to or request removal of your data (such as a photograph), use the “Report issue” button on the relevant page or email us at the address above. We will respond within one month.

Information about visitors

• Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type). IP addresses are anonymised. If you decline, no analytics run. You can change your mind at any time using the button below.
• Issue reports. If you report a data issue you may optionally include your email address so we can reply. We use it only for that purpose and delete it once the report is resolved.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (IONOS) keeps standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, browser) for security and troubleshooting, retained for a short period.

Cookies and local storage

• bc-consent (local storage) — remembers your cookie choice.
• bc-theme (local storage) — remembers your light/dark preference. Functional only.
• Session cookie — strictly necessary for the site to function (e.g. security tokens).
• Google Analytics cookies (_ga and similar) — set only if you accept analytics.

Third-party services

Some assets (fonts, styling and script libraries) are loaded from content delivery networks — Google Fonts, jsDelivr and Cloudflare cdnjs — which means those providers receive your IP address when the page loads. Analytics is provided by Google; their processing is described in Google's privacy policy. The site links out to third-party sites (e.g. social networks, sponsors); their own policies apply there.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify or erase personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email privacy@thebritishcontinental.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
